Refilling laser toner cartridge

LD Cartrides. 1-888-321-2552. I buy all my non-OEM cartridges from this company located in Long Beach Ca. I normally receive my order within 48 hrs. after I place an order. Prices are approx. %50 less than the OEM cartridges.

I have refilled dozens of toners with no ill effects.

It's just a really messy job, so I quit trying to refill them. I buy mostly off-brand cartridges from Provantage.

Seems to depend on the cartridge. HP seems OK but I have 't had much luck refilling Epson.

It depends on your printer? Which is one reason I prefer Brother laser printers which are quite easy to refill. A bottle of toner costs about $5.-$6. You basically just refill, then reset the white cog. A few key presses on the front panel resets the page count.

BTW, I've found that manufacturers underestimate the life of toner cartridges. Most go on a conservative page count, which tends to leave un-used toner when they are supposedly out. Depending on the model, on the Brother printers, you can cover up the toner window with tape, or reset the cog. Also, reset the new toner cartridge settings on the front panel.

Personally, I'd rather just keep using the current toner until it runs out, rather than use manufacturer settings which tends to be way too conservative, and results in waste.

I have bought from this company in the past and the cartridges have worked well in a HP printer. I now have a new Canon printer and will try them again.

Yes, my printer is a Brother HL-5370. I've watched several YouTube videos and it doesn't look like that messy of a job. How do I determine if my model has a toner window? What key do you press to reset the page count?

I particularly like Brother laser printers as they are durable, and print fast. Very economical to operate. In fact, I have five of them, only one I bought new. Found the rest in thrift shops for $10. All wireless/network.

Just wanted to extract the toner cartridges and drums, but after some self servicing, discovered that they all work. So now when running out of toner, I just swap out the printer. :B Refill when I have the time.

BTW, this toner saver trick works great. Have been using my current Brother for 3 months after the toner so called was out. :S

If you find a local company that's competent you shouldn't have a problem. I did that for maybe 10 years with 3 different companies and never had a problem that the company didn't make right.

Important note:
The toner powder can be dangerous if you inhale it, somewhat similar to mining problems with coal dust. Research that if decide to try it yourself.
