For a little over 100 bucks(?), you can get a Temp alarm, a Phone Link and a throw away Cell phone....if you do a search here you will see the description of this system I've been using for year's now. Simply put, as long as you have Cell service, this system will call you if the power fails or a temp limit is reached. The fact that it notifies you of a power failure is pretty nice because it can give you that extra bit of time before the temp's get out of hand. I think the extra Cell phone cost me 30.00 a year to keep it active on the Verizon Network.
