Removing th ASK Toolbar?

Yes, you still have the Ask toolbar doing whatever the toolbar does, probably nothing that will benefit you. You've just changed the homepage. Better to remove the toolbar completely.

Isnt that just what I did? I went to options and changed the website.

Yep I bet it's still there using resources and doing it's thing in the background.

Here is how I got rid of ASK.

I 1st tried resetting the computer to a previous time before the Ask. It did not work, still there.

So here is how I removed mine, pretty simple
open ASK
Upper right hand corner is TOOLS, looks like a star washer on mine.
Scroll down to internet options. select.

When screen appears you will see the ASK internet address. erase and type in Google.com. or your favorite.

Worked for me.

Another piece of advice. Never select Express or Standard install. These most often include unwanted extras. Always select Custom Install when given the option.

Not very unusual, just some people get a bit hurried or don't watch close enough. If you're on your toes you'll not have many problems.
