I tried an off brand replacement battery when I had my old Dell laptop. That battery didn't last a 2 years. Couldn't hold a charge.
My two year old Toshiba has an internal battery still going strong. Hope it continues. I would not know how to replace the battery without taking it to a service center and paying $$.
