Sounds like you might want to check out Apple laptops. Really long battery life, robust operating system, less prone to virus attacks. Not the cheapest, but if DW has a Ipad then you can share across both devices pretty easy. I figure that Win7 is my last windows device, and my next computer will be Apple.
