Replacement laptop, do I want touch screen?
My old Dell Latitude (xp pro) has just about run its lifecycle. Over the years I've replaced various parts on it to keep it going but I think it may have an aliment that is progressively fatal at this...

Windows 8 takes some getting use too. We jumped from XP to 8 when our old machines died. Think I still like XP better.
My desktop is a Hp Touch Smart and while I seldom use the touchscreen it is handy at times.
We have a touchscreen laptop we bought for the camper by Toshiba which works OK but not a fan of the keyboard. We have a grandbaby(3) that lives with us and she will use the touchscreen for educational sites (abcmouse.com) and some educational games.
With people becoming more comfortable with touchscreens in tablets and smartphone it's a natural progression. The touchscreen feature is nice to have but I still prefer a mouse and keyboard. Do prefer the touchscreen over the little touch square (built in mouse) on most laptops.
