That's interesting. I wonder if there is some kind of update for my older one? At any rate, I find this meter very easy to use. For Dish it powers the LNB without external inserter. Only Directv SWM needs the external power for LNB. I have found that if you are very careful with the compass, have the antenna plumb and level, that you will be very close to the correct settings. I would still recommend this meter to a "tech" type person.
