Reviews: Winegard Rayzar antenna

Just noticed the Winegard Rayzar clear antenna. It sticks to a window. Going for about $44.00. Any reviews would be appreciated.

  • If you have a Winegard Sensar (Batwing) you already have the best antenna available and the Razar will dramatically under perform the Batwing if what you need is distance. As a rule I would rate the Razar as a 20-30 mile max to the towers (clear view, not in a valley, etc). The newer amplified Razar should get you 30-35 miles and the Batwing might go 50-60 miles.
I have them all and I have played with them all at multiple locations.
  • Has anyone else bought a Rayzar? What has been your success with getting more channels than putting up the antenna? We are going to Ohio again and last year coming and going we got some channels with the antenna and a few even if I didn't raise it. But I would love to get more channels. Even a few would be nice as we travel.
  • Thanks Dog Folks
Probably very good report. Nice you got back to us.
  • Here is my report. I am NOT advising on purchasing it or not but here is what I found.

    1. 30 miles North East of Atlantata, Ga.: Ion network,4 channels, no off air

    2. South Central Ga.: 1 channel- Digital - No off air signals

    3. Florida, just inside Fla./Ga. Border-- Nothing at all. But in all fairness, the campground is in a "Bowl" and very low.
  • Dog Folks --
Thanks. Looking forward to seeing your results.
  • Just got one and only had it at one campground, but we are moving from Ga. south to Fla. Let you know in a few days after we have tried it at a few spots.
