I just got mine two days ago and haven't used it on the road yet since our next trip in later this month. So far I like it and I got it as an upgrade to my 1490 which still works fine, but I wanted a larger screen and well just because I wanted it:B One thing I'm not sure of is that if in RV road it basically uses truck routes then I will have to watch that since even towing truck routes around major cities is not really necessary in an RV.
One really nice thing is the cradle mount so you can remove the GPS w/o disconnecting any power plugs etc. because those connections are in the cradle mount that stays attached to the suction mount.
I even bought the sun screen for it since I found the one I custom made for my 1490 helped a lot since the unit sits on my dash in my Van when in use.
