Simple question; what is the best RV GPS around?? We are looking at reviews for both the Rand McNally RVND 7710/7715 LM. From some earlier comments we were 100% for either one of them, now not so sure. Please, give us your opinions & we'll consider them all. All of my GPSs have been Garmin and therefore I stayed with them and got the dezl 760. I've only used it in the truck so far, but I like it. The screens are a laid out a little better than my older Garmins and I like the large format.While there's always some to stay away from (cheap off brands like cheap tires), of the top three brands, it's just like tires, trucks, cars, MHs, etc, it comes down to which one you like. Which ever one you buy, if you get it from Amazon and there's something you really don't like about it, sent it back and order a different one.Bill

They all use the same map database.I use and like my old Garmin Nuvi 255W. I update the maps 4 times a year. I currently have 2014.10 Garmin CN Full North America NT installed. -Tom

I have a Tom Tom for work at home and it was a little while to get use to the way the RVND 7710 works, but once you get it, it is great.

Like you I have heard enough uneven stuff on the Rand. I have been happy with Garmin and today I would by the Dezl 560 or 760. They have an RV mode but lack the built in campground etc POI files. But these can be added via places like POI Factory.Look at the introduction and tutorials (videos) at GPS City, this can help you decide what might work best for you

We picked up a Garmin Dezl last winter in SoCal. It has auto, RV, and truck mode. When you leave it in truck mode it's good entertainment watching it panic when you leave truck routes, etc. It is pretty smart for a GPS so far. We still use those flat colorful printed things (maps), and use the GPS as a supplemental device.
