We got an DMI splitter from Monoprice.com (around $40) and a 50ft HDMI cable to run to the rear of the rig. Works like a champ, long as you don't want separate programming on the two units.

it will carry OTA RF HD broadcast signal , NOT HDMI
HDMI "digital" signal from the Sat box "REQUIRES" THE Multi-strand HDMI cable,
there is MULTIPLE signals being sent on that cable
NOT modulated RF
what you would require is a HD RF modulator to create broadcast digital RF to be carried via coax
HD video over coax it will cost a lot more than installing a new cable
