- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIIf you want to let something bother you, worry about the fact that your GPS is going to route you incorrectly (eventually) no matter what settings you input!
I just try to keep in mind that you really can't sweat the small stuff.
If the lack of that information is something you simply cannot get past then you should return the unit and move on. - Jim-LindaExplorer IIWell crap, don't use the blame thing! There won't be a whit of difference in your travels with or without trailer info.
Jim - Pirate1ExplorerI suppose it's not big of a deal but creating a different profile to include the trailer is not the same as having the trailer listed separately. I don't think it is proper to say that my RV is 50' long or xtons heavier than it actually is due to adding my toad. I appreciate the work around but I still don't see it as proper.

Is it me or did Garmin screw up. How do I put in my trailer (dinghy) information in the profile? What about anyone towing a trailer?
put in your overall length, width, height and weight for the tow vehicle and trailer. that's what all the restrictions look for anyway. No need to enter tow vehicle and trailer seperate.
for me it is 9 tons combined, 60ftoverall, 8ft wide, 11ft tall.
Yes, and you can create several different RV profiles and easily switch between them. I have one set up for my coach only and another for coach + toad - can give them a descriptive name and select on startup or thru the setup menu.
x2. I actually have two different trailers I tow, so I've set up a configuration for each of them, and yup, it is very easy to select which configuration you want on startup. It will default to the last one chosen, but give you a chance to choose another at startup. - jeep_geekExplorer

Really? I did that. I can input height, weight, width, but nothing about a trailer. Did you see input for a trailer?
It's you..;)
When you turn your unit on do not hit agree....Hit the other button...I think it says switch mode or something like that....you should be able to input specs there
It's not trailer specific, but I can't see why one would need more than what they ask for. - Pirate1Explorer
