Thanks for your replies. If you go to the Forum on the Torque-bhp website, you will find multiple threads about Bluetooth connectivity issues between Samsung devices and OBDII data-link connectors. These issues caused the two devices to not be able to pair with one another. The problems were caused by either connector or Samsung device Bluetooth issues (or both). At the time, there was a lot of programing effort at the maker of Torque as well as Samsung to correct the issues. Unfortunately, when using the Search function on the website, you can't search by date, so the search results are indiscriminately spread (in no particular order) between present day and all the way back to 2010. So I was curious if the Bluetooth issues were still present. From what I've seen here and other forums where I posed the same question, the answer seems to be no, so I've gone ahead and ordered the refurbished Samsung tablet to use in my MH. If it doesn't work, I will just bring it back.
Separately, I was asked why I don't just use my current phone for Torque monitoring. Two reasons: 1) I don't want to tie up my primary phone when driving the MH on a trip, and 2) when in use with Torque and the GPS, the phone works pretty hard and internal phone temps get pretty high. I'd rather have that going on with a separate dedicated device rather than my main phone. Thanks
