I have Calibre on my laptop where all my ebooks are stored. On my tablet, I have the app Calibre Companion. It allows your laptop/Calibre to see the tablet as a wireless device so, once set up, you just drag and drop or click "Send to Device" in Calibre and the books end up on the tablet. I use CoolReader to read the books on my tablet.
