Our motorhome is satelite ready. We have direct tv at home and plan on purchasing the xtra box to put in the MH. My question is we will start out with a stand alone 18" dish/tripod instead of the roof...

Dick_B, Yes we will be considering the auto units. We presently have no sat service and will use the manual disc to try Direct Tv service for mobile use and see how we like it, then will upgrade to full auto on the roof or just a remote mobile one. Thank you Mac
