Satellite ?
Just bought a 2013 DRV Tradition. Outside hookups include Sat1, Sat2 and cable. Inside cabinet near main tv there are several coax pigtails labeled Sat1, Sat2,Roof Sat, Receiver and a couple of more....

Roof-sat runs to either a dome or dish or hidden cable end on the roof.
To test: At whichever end of the cable is easier to get to use a OHMMETER, You should see open circuit center to threads.
Now on the other end of what you suspect is the same cable shord the center to the nut (A paper clip will do, or a test clip or ... Well even a peice of kitchen foil)
You should now see near ZERO ohms on the meter
If so, cable passed test and is what it claims to be.
I think your right about Sat1 and Sat2 being straight runs. It's hooked up now and works fine. However I would like to use the connection behind the bedroom tv marked satellite. Next to that plate is the park cable connection which works as it should. Still trying to figure the plate with two coax's attached to it marked Satellite. thanks for the advise, I appreciate any help I can get.
