Satellite Hook up

I have a new Sprinter TT. Ithas two connection points outside for a satellite and one for cable. I hooked up my satellite to the correct pulg outside and hooked up my main lounge tv. Everything wooks perfectly. I try to hook up my bedroom tv, with a seperate receiver and it doesn't work. I play with it over the weekend and find that if I have only the lounge tv hooked up, everything is fine, if I connect the bedroom receiver up, the bedroom works fine, but I lose the lounge signal. If I unhook the bedroom the lounge works again. Any help would be welcome. Thank you.

  • Ours only had satellite run to the living/dining/kitchen area. Cable tv worked both places but satellite only in the front. Had to run another cable back to the bedroom for satellite there.

You say you have 2 connections outside for satellite. If you want to run 2 receivers, you have to use BOTH of the satellite connections outside.

He said he has two connections -- one for satellite and one for cable.

His original post is unclear. It says 2 for satellite AND 1 for cable.

You say you have 2 connections outside for satellite. If you want to run 2 receivers, you have to use BOTH of the satellite connections outside.
  • You do not have to add any cables if you watch the same channel on the second TV. In my set up, I have a multi video switch. The satellite comes into one port, antenna to another, cable to another and DVD/VCR to another. There is three outputs.
I push the selected input and the correct TV.
You can watch an over the air off the antenna at the same time as satellite.
Mine is similar to this one.

  • One cable from the MP1 will power one receiver. If you want to connect 2 receivers you will need to run a new separate coax to the 2nd receiver location.
  • The outside connection is only going to run to one location for your receiver. You I'll Ned to add cabling and receivers to other locations you want to view satellite.
