Satellite Hook-up
Newbie attempting a Directv Sat hookup on my Travel Trailer(2016 Starcraft 289BHS).
I will outline my plan(Excluding the initial sat alignment procedure); please tell me if this will/should work, or if I am missing anything.
Step:
1)With coax, connect the dish to the Sat/Cable input on the outside of my TT.
2)Inside the camper, at the "SAT" output under the entertainment center by the antenna booster and cable output, connect coax to the Directv Power Inserter("Power to SWiM" port)
3) Coax connect from PI side "Signal to IRD" coax to Sat1 on the back of my receiver(H24-700 box)
4)HDMI from H24 receiver to my TV
I already have the dish and my H24 box from my spare bedroom at home; confirming all I will need to purchase is a Power Inserter. I shouldn't need any splitters, barrel nuts, etc. Correct?
SWM setup at home, so I shouldn't need to reprogram any settings on the box, correct?
Will the above outlined setup allow HD access?
Thanks
