but you are still here aren't you?
this thread ranks someplace between a festering wound and a car wreck.

I guess if you make enough predictions sooner or later one will come true. This isn't one of them.:)
I predict that when popping corn you'll always have a percentage of unpopped kernals in the bottom of the serving bowl. - mt1729ExplorerI guess if you make enough predictions sooner or later one will come true. This isn't one of them.:)
- babockExplorerThere is no such thing as a digital antenna. However antennas do receive analog signals that have digital content embedded in the analog waveform. Your cell phone and satellite dish are perfect examples of this.
I also believe there will be the eventual demise of satellite television. It just won't be able to compete eventually with 5G. They won't be around to service the few customers in rural areas anymore. Not sure how long that may be. May be 5 years. - rk911Explorercomcast made it EZ with integrated links to netflix and prime. we record everything we like to watch for playback later to skip commercials. comcast here just introduced "smart resume" for programming on the major broadcast networks. when fast-forwarding thru those programs the commercial breaks are visually indicated.
"The Smart Resume feature in Comcast Labs allows you to more easily navigate past commercial breaks within DVR recordings. If you fast forward through a commercial break when Smart Resume is enabled, Smart Resume will automatically drop you into playback when the commercial break ends."
pretty nifty but i'm guessing the advertisers aren't thrilled. maybe Comcast is compensating them somehow. - Community AlumniAs I stated before, pay TV isn't going away any time soon.
From the article below:
"Despite the rising popularity of streaming, the survey also showed that many households continue to value both streaming and pay TV, with 43% of U.S. consumers having subscriptions to both.
āStreaming versus pay TV is not an either/or proposition,ā the report said."
More households subscribe to streaming than traditional TV, according to new report - Edd505Explorer
