Scan Gauge 2 Support

Does Linear Logic ever respond to an email question? I contacted them more than a week ago and no response. Granted I am not the most technically inclined, that is why I needed a little help with what I thought would be a simple question. I have been trying to program the Xgauge function for transmission temperature. I have a W20 chassis with the Allison 5 speed on my 2006 Southwind. I followed the instructions and when it told me to use an empty slot, I chose 24. When I tried to use TFT, I could not find it. I found AAA. I could not find any reference to what AAA is supposed to display. Any help would be welcome.
  • My trans temperature runs about 90° to 200°. On the highway it will be close to 90°. When driving stop and go in the city temperatures can raise to 200°. This is because torque converter is unlocked in lower gears. Causing oil temperature to raise. It will also raise when climbing steep hills. But it always stays below 220°.
  • My 2006 was built 3 weeks before the switch over to the 6 speed. Next question, what should be the temperature range I should expect?

Ronfisherman, I think I found my programming problem by going to the second page of that link. Very helpful. Thank you. I still don't understand why Linear Logic had not responded to my request for help. I didn't have access to call them.

    Your welcome.
While searching for the link. I noted that most 2006 chassis have 6 speed Alison's. The ScanGauge will not display temperature for a 6 speed.

  • I contacted them last year and received an answer in a couple of hours.
  • I have heard that others who have the Allison 5 speed on a Fleetwood Workhorse chassis have been successful so I don't think that is the issue.
  • It will only work if the ECM/TCM is programed to report it. The chassis builder decides what functions can be read via OBDII. Nothing can change that!
  • I tried to do the same thing with the Transmission temp and it never work so I gave up
