I have the Lowes Iris system on my trailer. Without broadband the cameras are useless, but at home I have door contacts on both entry doors, and all the hatches, as well as a motion detector in the front bedroom, living room, and garage. All are wireless / battery (almost a year on a battery). There is a cell usb adapter from Verizon? for the hub. The service I have is free (no extras) so you would only be on the hook for the cell connection - whatever that costs.
