Shockwave Flash Player issue

This is a head shaker. I have 3 browsers now and none of them is reliable. :S

I've been on Firefox for years now...and think it's better than IE...altho some sites (employer site for instance) does not support FireFox but does support IE. Stange things here...I simply don't understand. With JAVA, I just continue to get the automatic updates...and to my knowledge JAVA has never been a problem for me. As far a MS goes (with this Shockwave thing) just yesterday I took 13 updates from MS...and 2-3 weeks before, 19.
Seeing MS owns the system...I just go along for the ride. I guess "ignorance is bliss "(thank you Mr. Orwell) but everything works to my satisfaction.

Now "CHROME"....have no need. VERIZON says CHROME is their favorite for Androids...both phone and tablet. However, for my tablet, wishing to duplicate my laptop (for my benefit) I downloaded Mozilla with bookmarks...and all is well. So.....................................

Thanks... let me know how that works out. Switched to Fire Fox and got a message from it... not allowing Kaspersky and it also says Java is unstable and to use caution. I'm going to go bang my head against the wall now.

I was able to delete the Microsoft pushed update to Shockwave Flash and install the last know working version which I got from Adobe.. Alas, It took a week and a half to do it before I visited a web page that took me to the Adobe link.

It's only the Mnicrosoft pushed beta update that's crashing it seems.

I have the install file here. but I will tell you what I did.

From Programs and Features I deleted Shockwave Flash. Completly reoved it.

Finally I think it was an AARP web page that told me I needed it, and linked to the Official Adobe site.. That one worked.

I am told it's 20.something.3 that is the problem child but the version I have claims to be flashplayer19_0r0_245_winax.msi

I spent several quality hours with the Geek S. In addition to the shockwave problem, my Kasperksy is a memory hog. They recommended I get more memory and that would help with a lot of the freezing up. Sigh.

I also started using FoxFire at their suggestion because it still supports older plug ins. It's a temporary fix at best, but not looking forward to total immersion into the new Windows browser or Win 10. I'm still using Vista Home Premium!

The Geek cleaned everything up...but said memory was my primary issue. And to think about replacing Kaspersky with Webroot because it was not a space hog.

i keep saying update
but it doesn't seem to do it
it hasn't affected me much
when i get an alert about some video content (on a know good website) news etc.
i just click allow and watch it

I recently got an update notice, to update the flash player plugin for Fire Fox...

Did you update the plugin?

When I go to update the plugin it says it says the toolkit is dangerous to use but you can't update the plug in with out the toolkit. And of course as you state Adobe owns it and now my adobe keeps saying to update. I am not sure what to do. And now its starting to affect my banking on line. :R

I just left it and when the red box shows up I click ok for one time.
