We love Win-10 and we previously had Win-8.1 which we did not care for. You will like Win-10 if you previously had Win-7. Although there are some who do not like it but never mentions specifics, other than the auto updates use there cell data allotments.
You can also turn on the "Metered Connections" feature of Windows as described at Lifehacker. Any WiFi connection you designate as "metered" will be blocked from receiving updates.
