I figure the machines I currently have running Win 7 and Win 8.1 will be ready to be replaced (or already replaced) by the time those OSes stop being supported so I'm not worried about that.
I wouldn't go so far as to say the tech press loves Win 10, there's an awful lot of negative press out there regarding privacy issues and such.
Every MAJOR computer magazine, blog and Tech commentator loves win 10. The only part of win 10 they have complaints with is the Cortana (sp?) ZD Net, Pc Mag, Computing etc etc.
The truth is MS was collecting all that info with 8 and 8.1 but not being as clear and honest about it as they are with 10. And while I dislike this aspect of MS and 10 the fact of the matter is that win10 is here to stay and this is now the game. As I said before there is no utility in not upgrading.
