OP here. Well, my question is answered.
I have a seldom used tablet with win 8.1, so I upgraded to win 10.
Upgrade took a really long time. I started it yesterday, midday, and finished this am.
I could no longer use the camera on the tablet, and could not get my mail.
Went back to 8.1, camera & mail work again.
Won't be upgrading my laptop to win 10.
