I had the same issue this summer. If my antenna was cranked all the way up I had a weak or lost signal. But if I lowered it some it would be fine. I checked the coax from where it screws into the batwing and it was good. I decided to unhook and pull the coax out thru the roof and found a spot that was in the roof section that was tore up and cracked badly. I just replaced the whole section all the way to the signal amp box inside coach and now it is fine.
That is what I thought was the problem here . Extending the coax causes the problem . Extending coax can expose weak section . But what do I know.
