I have the same thing happen, I have no "BOMB" and I have replaced the coax, and it hasn't changed it. The problem doesn't seem to affect how many channels I get, and I usually get as many channels as the others we camp with.
If it bothered me too much, I would try replacing the batwing, but instead I just lower the antenna and know that I don't have to worry about forgetting it when it is time to leave.
