I Have it for my house...It works essentially like any other security system except it is wireless...It is extremely easy to install as it is just put up with the command tape. The phone app I would rate as about a 4 out of 10 for functionality...as it doesn't work very well. They don't have a camera yet...They have 3 different pay plans, but the computer/phone app won't work with the two lower priced plans.
Never had a call to police or fire, so can't give a response to that...
Are there better ones out there...not sure but I would rate the overall system as about average...

I have a Simplisafe system in my home & shop & love it. I also have a motion sensor & siren in my motorhome when it is parked in my driveway. I remove it from the system when we are using the motorhome.

Easy to install and modify. I have it set to receive a text message when it is armed & disarmed.

The only issue I had was when I put a motion alarm in my office facing the curtains which are above a heater outlet and the heat came on and moved the curtains triggering an alarm in the early AM!
