SimpliSafe home security systems?

Yep, have had it for awhile now and am very satisfied. Low cost, NO contract, low monitoring fees and EXCELLENT customer service. Best money we have spent on a monitoring system. Just make sure it is the 2nd or 3rd generation, as the 1st systems did have some gremlins. It is very easy to install, hard for the scumbag to find the transmitter and the battery backup system works.

Our sleepy little country neighborhood is no longer that. After 12 years of peace and tranquility we had 4 neighborhood break-ins in the last 12 months (2 right next to us last July). We put in the Simpli Safe security system. We weren't to worried before because our dogs are protective, but NOW we travel a lot and the dogs travel with us. It's BEYOND OBVIOUS when we leave now as our TT is stored at our home. We are beyond pleased with the purchase of the Simpli Safe set up. The company was extremely responsive with our questions and calls. It was easy to install ourselves and once installed you have a 3 day period to make your mistakes (AND WE DID...LOL) before going live. It DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS! We paid extra for a few additional components. We added an exterior high decibel screamer mounted in the high (inaccessible) pitch of our home. Boy howdy when I tripped it one morning it rattled the neighbors out for sure..LOL! Our only disappointment with the system was due to the size our dogs, but even that was easily remedied. The interior motion sensors (we added) are tripped with anything over 50# moving around the house. So, we wondered how we could leave our dogs in the house, and still set the security system when leaving for work. They explain a nifty trick that we use daily. Even if someone was accomplished enough to make it into the house we have the motion detectors strategically position to nab someone the instant they come around a turn. I realize that "Pro Thugs can usually get in if they REALLY WANT TO, but I tell ya...we pull out now knowing we have done the best we can to protect what we own shy of hiring an armed guard to sleep here. If you move.. you can take it with you!! Also.. NO CONTRACT, and it only runs us $14.99 a month for monitoring.

I have had SSafe since Aug 2013. Works as advertised.. Love the installation part, took all of 20 minutes to install components.I really like the option of "turning off" & "turning on" the monitoring service at any time. Only pay for the months that it is turned on. Also like the monthly 15.00 low cost of monitoring. The only drawback that I found is that you have to call them to disable the monitoring system, (unless you pay more monthly for option of doing this yourself online).

Absolutely EVERYONE we know who's been burglarized puts in a security system AFTER THE FACT - so we decided to be proactive. We don't have a house full of expensive art, or hoards of precious gems and jewelry. We just wanted that extra edge for peace of mind, and the purchase of Simpli Safe gave that to us.
