Look at doing the ala carte subscription - we get all the stations we are interested in for $6.99 per month.

I pay $9.73 per month for the a-la-carte program plus 1 premium channel (Blue Collar Comedy). I can select 50 channels but there aren't really 50 I listen too. I really only listen to about 12 of them. I did pick all the channels that they change to football games on Sunday so I can listen to all the games if I want. Normally these are channels I don't listen too.
There's no way I'd be paying $89 per month.

The $89 is probably a YEARLY cost. My first SIRIUS XM subscription for my 2010 F150 Truck was paid on a yearly basis...

I am on a monthly basis now for $24 a month which includes the Family Radio plan and the Travel Link plan...

I actually use the travel link more than the radio part haha. Love all those road maps and where all of the business things are located along the way...

I may have to look into the ala carte subscription as I only listen to a few Country Music stations.

I did not renew after the one year free with my truck and they kept offering lower rates, so they will adjust the rates to keep you, I think the lowest offered was around $15.00 per month. I only used it a maybe 8 hours in the entire year so I have not bothered with it. Call to cancel and tell them it is way too expensive is the reason for cancelling and see what they offer, I personally would not pay more than $5 or $6 a month, but I hardly used it.

I canceled my subscription because of their ridiculous overpriced rates.
The first time they give you a year for a reasonable price, payable by credit card. After the year is up they nail you hard with more than doubling the price.

I paid the high price a couple times and then decided the heck with that - way too expensive.

I was paying 165 or maybe 175 a year. Way to much money.

Now every few months they email me telling me I have 2 weeks free, just turn my receiver on. And they offer a "special" for the first year - $79.96. Reg $175.89.

So if I fall for this, after the first year they will automatically renew me at the high price, on my credit card. Apparently, somewhere in the fine print of all that stuff that nobody reads, if you take their "special rate" that they are entitled to charge your CC without consent after a year.

Horse puckey! They can keep their overpriced service. I don't want most of the stuff they offer anyhow, just a few stations and a Christian talk station, but they won't give me the few I want for a reduced rate. They want me to have all the sports, news and then that idiot Howard Stern. I don't listen to any of that stuff!

If the price was reasonable for what I want, I would still subscribe. But $176 a year? No way.

I said to cancel it or give me a retention operator. they can cut the price down to a more reasonable cost if you threaten to leave.

I believe that they asked if they could charge my credit card and I said for a ONE time only, not automatic updates. I have the date marked a week or so before it becomes due so I can "cancel".

I bought the lifetime subscription, I think it was $399, so every year that goes by my yearly cost gets less. They do charge to transfer to another vehicle if you buy one, but as I assume this is the last truck I will need I should be good.

My brother always negotiates a lower yearly rate because "he doesn't use it a lot". At least that is what he tells them.

I bought mine during a New Years sale at Circuit City in 2004. I bought the lifetime subscription for $300. So, I'm down to $2.50 per month at this point. The backlight in the unit quit working this year so I carry a tiny flashlight to be able to see the screen. Found out I can transfer the lifetime subscription to a new unit for a $75 charge.
