Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot
I'm considering purchasing the Straight talk zte z288c 4g lte mobile wifi hotspot. I was wondering if any of you folks are using a similar device and if you're happy with it? Thank you for your input...

Well, I did some more looking around and found out I was wrong. :o
It seems that after MANY complaints to Straight Talk and complaints to the FCC that Straight Talk made a change around September 1, 2015. This hotspots ISP has changed from Hosted Data Solutions to AT&T Wireless. I also found this quote from October 2015 on the Straight Talk forum: The Z289 hotspot appears to be fixed as of 9/1/2015. ... According to the speedtest, I was able to obtain 28mbps down and 20mbps up so the speed was very good. My Z288 unit steadily gets 5mbps down and 2mbps up..
Looks like they fixed the problem with the AT&T units but the Verizon units are still throttled.
After reading your post, I do remember reading about the problems with them, and it was kind of an impulse buy, and have loved it since.
I do notice LTE is faster than 4G.
