Do solid state drives last longer? Good question and I'm not sure there is an answer yet.. SS drives are more or less immune to hardware failure and can survive an inpact that would shatter the platter on a regular drive.. But they do fail.. Eventually,,, or so I'm told.
The message, as someone said, is "problem detected and correctred" NOW that problem may be a bad shutdown.. IE: My "Main" computer (Now a file server) will do that if I pull the plug without shutting down properly first.
The laptops if I shut down by Leaning on teh power button.
