Regardless of whether you use a Roku or a Chromecast or your XBox, the content you watch comes through providers like NetFlix or Amazon or Hulu. Some of these are free and some are not, it all depends on what you want to watch. For the Roku there are literally dozens of "official" and hundreds of "unofficial" channels you can add to your system. I have no interest in most of them (the Hindu news and stuff like that), but there are plenty that cater to special interests and hobbies.
