That's discouraging, but not a dealbreaker. I can work around having service only when we are parked, or at least stationary- but the bandwidth you are suggesting seems to be a big hitch. None of the consumer satellite internet services will be able to provide Skype or VoIP for anything other than a very casual family connection and then they are going to have to "learn" that it's not a regular phone call and how to adapt to the delay and the freezes.
Your best bet is cellular and WiFi but neither will be great everywhere and there will be places where you end up with nothing.
