Satellite latency would be TERRIFIC if is was only 145ms. Satellite internet latency will be at least 500ms and depending upon the service you are using it can be as high a 800-1500ms.
Since we are in an RV forum I generally disregard things like cable or DSL and very few folks are going to pay the money for 2 separate cellular accounts just to allow for a fail-over option.
That pretty much leaves cellular and WiFi and I still never allow the router to select the connection as I have not found any of them to be fully reliable. I choose my connection based upon my needs and my location and keep the gremlins out of my decisions.
