Excellent point. Great explanation about the assuming everyone is an angel; that's completely true. 90% of the people on the internet, mainly on forums are very rude and it just makes them feel better about themselves so I just ignore it and reply with an "intelligent" comment asking why their "logic" is so great, but many don't reply to it. They just like to say, "You're stupid." in one comment and leave it at that lol. To the topic about it not working if it's plugged into a laptop ethernet cord. I called a second time and spoke to a different person and he too said the same thing that it will work, but I just have to leave the computer on 24/7 if I want to record something. I even gave a situation if I was living in an apartment w/o a router and they both said, "Yes. It will work, just don't turn your computer off." I guess the only way is for me to go to Wal-Mart and spend ~$300 on a system, bring it home and try it out then return it within 14 days if I can't connect it with just my laptop. Then give everyone on here results on who is wrong/right.

I am not sure so many people are giving the OP such a hard time. Stuff gets stolen at RV Parks on a regular basis. Maybe only small stuff and maybe not, but it certainly does happen. I don't know of any RV park owner that would deny that. Also, security is something not to be taken for granted. If you "assume" everyone else is an angel and leave all your stuff up for grabs, someone's going to grab it.
I think the OP asked a logical and interesting question and I hope folks will try to stay focused on why he can or cannot do what he would like. How could he know that what he wants to do would have a very bad effect on a campground wifi system unless someone gives him a reasonable and logical response. He's here to learn and asking good questions.
