Surveillance Camera Setups on your RV

What does it do? I mean, so you left your RV somewhere, and it gets burgled. The cops could care less about some grainy footage from a camera. I guess it might offer some liability protection for you if engaged in a physical altercation in front of the camera... Providing proof of who swings first?

That said, thumbs up for the 120v lights. Consider it myself since I can't find any 12v fixture with the lumen output I'm looking for. Any more pics of the install steps? Where did you tap into the AC power?

I am scratching my head wondering why you would need such a setup on an RV but whatever floats your boat.

You might not want to tow in the rain as those are "water resistant", not "waterproof". I seem to remember a recommendation to install under an overhang in the instructions for the one I have on my back garage. Towing it down the highway at 70 mph in the rain may be a good way to trash a perfectly good $250.00 Floodlight Cam.

This post is a perfect example of why this forum is dying a slow and painful death. I guess your parents never taught you that if you can't say anything nice, then keep your mouth closed. They were showing you what worked for them...not asking for your opinion. Perhaps their trailer is parked...who cares!

OP, great job. I live out in the middle of 50 acres and have cameras set up outside. Love seeing who is pulling into my driveway or watching the place when we are gone.

Yes, I only rarely post largely due to the incredibly rude, obnoxious and useless responses.

I wouldn't think of leaving home without my motion detection cameras up and running. I thought pretty much everyone, at the very least, has a doorbell camera. There is video from those a couple times a week on the news, most of the time solving the crime.

Thinking about this...maybe one could move their dashcam over to the window by the door when parked.
