The only real difference is the set up angles for the dish
You make sure you have the proper Dish-1000.x dish (the one that matches your reciever)
and you aim it to a spot over the pacific ocean and tilt it as per your receiver's instructions... Procedure is basically the same as with DirecTV but the software in the receivers is better.
If you are on the ATLANTIC coast.. You may want a different dish and aiing spot but I'm not sure how that works.
Now with the proper receiver (Single channel only) with Dish you can use a Portable "Dome" or "Cube" type antenna. Set it down and depending on the model. .Some you pre-set the "Tilt" others you just turn it on.. Job done.
Oh one other thing. With DISH receivers after you aim.. Do a "Check Switch" (same menu page choose the proper button and go form there) this "Syncs" the receiver with the dish.
