what 'carrier' is the jitterbug on ?
Great Call ? maybe , also Maybe if on the verizon version of straight talk
anything else, the answer no, it won't work on the verizon system
in most cases even IF compatible, verizon won't allow it, and the standard answer is NO
what you need to do, is to find a used phone, the verizon version of this phone
may exist, purchase that, then go into the verizon corporate store, and ask them switch phones on your account
IF your jitterbug Flip, is with Great Call, it is compatible with Verizon
and is probably on the VZW network, because Great Call is a VAR , like boost and straight talk, it does NOT own any towers or equipment

The Jitterbug phones are locked to the GreatCall company. They use Verizon's cell towers, but they sell their own service plans. Their service is intended to be very senior-friendly. For example, you can press "0" on the phone to reach an "operator" (customer service person, like the old landline days). Customer service can add phone numbers to the phone's address book. You can get services such as medication reminders, a daily check-in call, a live nurse call, 5Star Urgent Response (like Life Alert). I'd say Jitterbug/Greatcall is best for people 75+ years old who have never used a cell phone before.
