If you like to live on the edge get one of the many dual boot (Windows/Android) tablets from China.
You can have the best of two worlds. And they are cheap, some less than $200. They all work with USB keyboards and mice, biggest downside for me is the lack of internal GPS. Sure I could get a USB plug in GPS receiver but I use mapping software way to often to play with that.
Some have Retina quality screens.
Lord only knows about their reliability and what the warranty return policy is :-) I wish someone here would buy one and report back :-)
