This process worked fine for my old Motorola Xoom. However I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, with JB on it, and even with Dolphin Browser it will not work.
Oh yes, you can install it from the SD card, but try to set it to 'on' from within Dolphin and it gives this message: "Flash Player not supported for Android 4.1" - then it says "Adobe has officially discontinued support for Flash Player on Android. Playing Flash will crash Dolphin so we have turned it off to ensure the most stable browsing experience....."
I have Firefox installed as well - haven't tested that as yet.
