I have access to several sat dish's, both in Direct TV and Dish TV brands, that are of the oval design/same size etc. I like the Dish brand adjustments for tilt/angle and skew better than the Direc...

I've done the opposite. A DirecTv Slimline dish was a bit too large for my basement. I took a Dish Network 1000.2 dish and modded a DirecTv SL3-S LNB to it. It works well, but the signal levels are about 10 points lower than with the larger Slimline dish.
