Hi - the OEM system in the truck likely only displays once the pressure falls to a certain level. Does it also show individual tire locations? The OEM system on my car just displays a single idiot light that I then have to check the tires individually. The advantage of most after-market (I have the TST one)TPMS is they will show a real-time tire pressure and temperature, not just alarm when there is a "failure". This way you can keep an eye on the tires all the time. I got an extra sensor that I keep on the spare, so I know that it, too, is at proper pressure. I'd get the extra sensors if you are getting a system. ST
