Tracfone data usage - smartphone vs. dumbphone?

I know there was a thread on this sort of subject not long ago that started quite goofy then actually evolved into some useful information (total opposite of what happens to most threads here ;) ) ...

this might not be useful...but..we use straight talk..Wal-Mart android phone.
$45/month..unlimited data..talk..text.
it's tracfone..and connects mobile data through Verizon towers.You can also auto connection through any WiFi available.
the CDMA models use Verizon and we've had no problems.
