TV for my TC

Looking for a TV for my Lance 865 Truck Camper and would like your recommendation. Lance offers a Jensen 19" LED HDTV 12V that's shock mounted and made for a RV. Is this a good unit? I might go a little bigger but not much. Maybe 22"? Definitely 12V and HD.
And what articulating mount works best?
Thanks for your help.

  • Most TVs markets for 12V cost more and are inferior quality like that Jenson compared to the home use TVs. Fortunately, many TVs are designed to work from 12V. Just look at where the power cord comes into the TV. Sometimes ytou can do this in pictures, or you may just need to look at a local store like Best Buy. This TV has 110V AC input as shown by the larger connctor on the left:

This TV uses a 110VAC to 12V DV adapter cord so should work with a TT.

Both are 1080p native resolution with HDMI inputs elsewhere.
  • Look for a TV with an adapter to convert the 120vac to 12 or 14vdc. You can then discard the adapter and connect the TV directly to the 12 v in your TC.
  • Best Buy sells Insignia TVs which is their store brand. They sell a 19" model for about $100 which runs on 12 volt. Customer reviews are quite positive.

  • We initially bought an offbrand 12v Television for the truck camper. Now everyone has a smart phone and a tablet. Tablet runs movies off a travel router. Have not turned the TV on in two years.

Those are wise words. Get yourself a decent TV. Any major brand is fine.
  • Absolutely do not get that TV. Any other brand is better.
