Tv reception question

Ok I have 2 tvs in my lance 815. One fold down tv that's mounted above the sink under the cabinets and one in the bed area. I have a cable splitter that's coming out of the factory antenna and divides into the two tvs. The little fold down tv gets good reception say 15 channels but the big flat screen in the bed area only picks up maybe half the channels. My questions is why would 2 tvs powdered by the same antenna get totally different reception and how would I improve the tv with bad reception? Is there a difference in coax cables? Could the cable splitter be bad?
Thanks!

  • I would try getting a cable cord long enough to reach the bedroom then put the cord in line with the living room and make sure there is no difference with the present setup, then take the length of cord and feed it to the bedroom and see if things get any different.

It is a process to check each piece of the connection, always start with the easiest. I eventually found that the center wire of one of the cable connectors was about 1/16th of an inch too short to make proper contact in the female end of the connector it was screwed into.
