Two Directv Hr34/44
Has anyone had any luck getting a second genie activated with D? I want one at home and one in the RV without a second account. Thanks.

I'm having trouble following you. I'm sure it's because we use different terminology.
How are you defining receivers? DVR? Genie?
A standard DirecTV DVR will record 2 channels. A Genie will record 5. The clients are not receivers but will allow you to watch the programming on a Genie. You could have 1 Genie and 1 client and watch 2 different channels on 2 different TV's at the same time. You could also install a Genie (5 tuners) plus a standard DVR (2 tuners) and watch or record 7 channels simultaneously. I use a Genie and an H25 for a 6 channel option but I could add other options should I choose. It's all about choices. If you use a Genie (and I recommend everyone use a Genie) you will never be able to go back.ChopperBill wrote:

- You also cannot connect 2 Genies to one of their antennas as the LNB will only support 8 tuners without doing a hardware upgrade. By the way, don't "come on Bill" me. You make it sound like I would care and I don't. You and/or DTV can do as you/they please.
