You can always simply plug whatever sensitive equipment into a UPS just like you would if you were on line voltage. Big gennys aren't inverters, so good sine wave created. I have an APC UPS that is in a genny-fed outlet at home - when on genny (NOT a nice Generac...) you can hear it alarming fairly regularly, meaning "dirty" power coming in to it, so it is doing it's job.
