You can get remotes that control virtually every function, in any device, such as Crestron or AMX. However, they tend to be very expensive. We use them at work, touch screen remotes that generally require a dedicated programmer. The only RV applications I've seen them used are in Prevosts.
Then there are high end consumer remotes that can handle most functions in popular devices, Logitech as mentioned. But general universal remotes tend to only access the most basic functions, play, FF, pause, etc. Few able to control advance menus.
I'm still looking for one for all my personal devices myself.
