Logitech is very good (and one of the more popular ones), but there many others out there.
I steered away from logitech as I heard they weren't very robust, but programming them is a breeze and IIRC can be done on a laptop.
I use universalremote (yes that's actually the name of the company). and am VERY happy with it. I went with the RF/IR remote so I don't have to point at the stupid box anytime I want to use it, and all my boxes are in a different room. This is obviously in a house, but it should apply here also..
I'm not sure about Logitech, but universal remote can control anything with a IR eye.
